Charming Club @ Warman Cozy
We are just getting ready to kick off year 3 of the Charming Club (previously known as Simply Charming Club)! Our first meeting of the new year of club will be on September 9 (going through August 11, 2027) and you can pick your time - we have club meetings the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 11AM, 2PM and 6PM. You can even switch between times from month to month to what works best for your schedule that month.
What is it?
A demo-style monthly meeting with a focus pattern of the month and Moda fabric collection of the month. Members are encouraged to bring show and tell of all sorts and types to the meetings and in addition to tips and tricks for the pattern of the month, there will be shop updates shared and other musings.
This year we will be working with patterns from the book Just One Charm Pack Quilts by Cheryl Brickey. There are 18 patterns in this book and they are all great so the real fun will be that each month it will be a surprise which pattern we’ve done and what the fabric collection of the month is! And, since club members get a 10% discount on all yardage from the collection of the month, there’s even more to love!
You can choose to join as a “Pattern-Only” member OR a “Pattern & Charm Pack” member. Pattern-Only members will get the book when they sign up. Pattern & Charm Pack members will get the book when they sign up and then will have a reserved Moda Charm Pack each month of the collection of the month waiting for them at the shop. (If you can’t make it to club any month, no worries, we will keep your charm pack(s) in your folder for you to pick up any time after club day when it is convenient for you.) Usually our charm packs for the collection of the month do sell out on the day of Club so joining as a Pattern & Charm Club member is the only way to guarantee you get one. Also, we have priced the charm pack option so that you are getting several charm packs free by committing to all 12 of them.
Who is this club for?
Thanks for asking! This club is for quilters and fabric-lovers of all ages and skill levels! For a beginner sewist some of the patterns may be difficult but we are always available to help you along the way on anything you get stuck on! And its a great way to build your skills. For a more-experienced quilter, the patterns are still very enjoyable and it’s always fun to have a good excuse to play with the newest fabrics!
Even if you don’t know anyone else who’s signing up, you won’t be alone! This is the friendliest and most-welcoming group and this is a place for you!
What’s my risk here?
Well, even if you join as Pattern & Charm Pack member and you don’t love the collection of the month, you could make that quilt for a friend who does love it? Or you could gift or swap that charm pack to another quilting friend or sell it. But since you’ve gotten a several free over the course of the year, you are still ahead if you don’t like one or two of them. We do intentionally choose fabrics from all different styles and designers and have heard over and over in the past how some members would never have chosen a certain collection themselves but ended up loving it when they used it! So risk removed, haha!
